Oslo, Norway, July 9, 2009 - REC today announced that the Company will deliver REC 220AE solar modules to Changi Airport's Budget Terminal, the first rooftop PV installation on a commercial airport in South East Asia.
REC's partner Phoenix Solar, Singapore branch, a system integrator of rooftop and ground-mounted PV power plants, successfully won the tender against 19 other companies bidding for this project. REC will deliver 123 kWp and the installation will begin in August 2009.

REC is building the world's most integrated solar energy manufacturing site in Singapore with an investment of approximately NOK13 Billion (S$3billion) and 1 300 jobs in phase 1. The target is to begin operations in the first quarter of 2010 and reach full capacity of 740 MW of wafers, 550 MW of cells and 590 MW of modules by 2012.
