Munich – August 9, 2012: The Platinum partnership is awarded to partners who make a significant investment in REC through a combination of revenue achievement, installer certification, joint planning and extensive training capabilities. The partnership marks SunConnex’s active participation with REC in developing a mutually strong relationship to achieve success. REC in return provides intensive training programs and advanced marketing, sales and technical support.
SunConnex has been active in the European solar market since 1989 and operates globally as a distributor and project developer. A formal partnership was first formed in 2008 and SunConnex and REC have worked together on projects in the UK for big names brands such as Tesco, Audi and Peugeot in addition to two large solar farms.
The Platinum distribution partnership in the UK will build on the existing relationship, the partnership aims to help further grow the EUR 1.7 billion global revenues posted by REC last year. As a Platinum partner SunConnex forms part of the REC Executive Advisory Board sharing business leads and referrals. REC also offers partners a suite of tools through the partner portal including “track and trace” on deliveries and online marketing tools. SunConnex will also take advantage of training and development opportunities to improve product knowledge.
