Munich – June 12, 2013: At this year’s Intersolar Europe, REC will present its portfolio of products, solutions, and services; the high-quality REC Peak Energy Series solar panels will be on display, as well as the capabilities and reference cases as a full-service large-scale system integrator. In addition, REC will for the very first time exhibit a concept study of a solar panel well suited for desert conditions.
“Despite a shrinking European market, Intersolar Europe is still one of the most important trade shows for REC,” says Luc Graré, Senior Vice President Solar Sales and Marketing, REC. “Europe will remain the biggest solar market in 2013 globally and we already see that new business models without using feed-in-tariffs are emerging in Europe, like self-consumption installations for commercial use, which shows that solar is already competitive with other electricity sources.”
This positive trend could slow down if provisional anti-dumping duties are imposed on solar imports from China, as market prices for solar panels are already on the rise. “Although REC products are not affected by the EU anti-dumping investigations, we are against import duties and support open and fair competition,” clarifies Luc Graré.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Cemil Seber, Director Product Marketing and Global Expansion, REC, will be part of the panel discussion in the EPIA workshop “From PV quality to bankability”. He will be sharing some insights on how REC goes beyond the recognized international standards to ensure the products can withstand extreme environments. The superior REC manufacturing process and quality assurance mechanisms at REC’s state-of-the-art production facility in Singapore has been confirmed in third party factory audits by two high-profile engineering firms, Mott MacDonald and Black & Veatch.
